Games for Change (G4C)
Alex Steffen, 17 Jun 06

Serious games are a vital worldchanging tool, helping us to simulate, explore and develop various desired futures. Games for Change (G4C), an offshoot of the the Serious Games Initiative, aims to support the development and use of serious games as a vehicle for social change:

Games for Change (G4C) provides support, visibility and shared resources to individuals and organizations using digital games for social change. We formed in 2004 as a sub-group of the Serious Games Initiative. Today, G4C acts as a national hub to help organizations network and develop videogame projects beyond their traditional expertise. Our members represent hundreds of organizations and include partners in the games industry, academia, nonprofits, local and state governments, foundations, the UN and artists.

Excellent article, the basic tenets and approach are right on the mark. As Chief Marketing Officer for Aelera Corporation I would like to leverage internal corporate resources to help?

Please let me know how we can get involved.

Looks like the website http://www.gamesforchange.org/index2.html is having a few problems.
