We just looked at the server logs for our first full month of blogging. As we expected, a majority of our readers are from North America. But we were pleasantly surprised to find that we have a great many readers from elsewhere on the planet.
Here's the list (ranked by number of readers):
.uk (United Kingdom), .au (Australia), .nl (Netherlands), .it (Italy), .jp (Japan), .br (Brazil), .fr (France), .nz (New Zealand), .be (Belgium), .fi (Finland), .dk (Denmark), .de (Germany), .mx (Mexico), .se (Sweden), .ch (Switzerland), .es (Spain), .no (Norway), .ru (Russia), .gr (Greece), .sg (Singapore), .is (Iceland), .il (Israel), .pl (Poland), .pt (Portugal), .at (Austria), .cc (Cocos (Keeling) Islands), .hu (Hungary), .ar (Argentina), .cz (Czech Republic), .ie (Ireland), .hr (Croatia), .tw (Taiwan), .ph (Philippines), .ua (Ukraine), .tr (Turkey), .in (India), .co (Colombia), .my (Malaysia), .lu (Luxembourg), .yu (Former Yugoslavia), .st (Saint Tome and Principe), .za (South Africa), .lt (Lithuania), .ro (Romania), .sk (Slovakia), .hk (Hong Kong), .cl (Chile), .ee (Estonia), .tt (Trinidad and Tobago), .pk (Pakistan), .ae (United Arab Emirates), .cr (Costa Rica), .aw (Aruba), .gt (Guatemala), .sc (Seychelles), and the mysterious ".int (International Treaty Organizations)."
We'd like to hear what you think, distant worldchangers! (Especially our lone reader in Seychelles - what do you think, Lone Seychellois Reader? Oh, and please excuse the picture, it was the best we could find on short notice...)
Consider this an invitation to leave a comment introducing yourself, or sharing what tools, ideas and models are inspiring you these days, or recommending a book, film or music, or just posting a link to something you think is cool and worldchanging and ought to be better known.
Hi Steffen!
I am from Bangladesh. I have just been here and am fascinated by your motto "Worldchanging". Hope to come here again and participate in your great effort. Surely there would be no such joy & thrill as to look for models, tools & ideas for building a better future. I am adding you in my blogroll.
Peace
- Rezwan
Hi,
One of the .in (India) readers, WorldChanging is a great source for thinking about planet Earth.
I recently stumbled onto this site via Alex Schroedor's blog. Glad I found it :)
Hi there, from France !
I read your blog in the hope of finding clues about how to steer my career toward still profitable but more "worlchanging" job opportunities. Any Fortune xxxx transcommercial corporation in France yet ? :)
Your work is a valuable source of inspiration for me. Keep on the good work. :)
Hi,
Great stuff. Lots of good new information. I'm going to pass it on to my students.
When the semester ends I'll send some things in.
And greetings to Alan.
cheers
Garry
Worldchanging is a welcome addition to the rapidly developing united front against the monopoly capitalist system. Imperialism won't last long since it always does such horrible things.
The socialist sytem will eventually replace the capitalist system. This is an objective law, independent of people's will, but we have a lot to do to get there!

Exactly, Sig. I don't judge your enthusiasm for socialism, Joe, but we're really more about pragmatism and innovation than ideology here. And the interesting thing is that when you ask people for concrete plans, models, tools, actions etc., it's often hard to tell the ideological background of those making them - people from a wide variety of perspectives tend to converge on good ideas (like open source, or sustainable design). That convergance point? That's what we try to cover.
Who else is reading from overseas?
Me. Just found you via a link from Bruce Sterling, which was via a link from Need To Know.
Just came back from a lecture on the human genome at the Royal Society in London, my mind is blown. Maurice Wilkins (Nobel Prize w/ Crick, Watson 1962) was in the audience. The consensus was that we are just at the beginning. The world is changing, indeed.
i'm writing from italy.
i like the content and tone of your site.
i'm a lyricist/songwriter working on my tunes out in the woods.
