Green and cheap housing


Housing affordability and green design can work together - that's the take-away from the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art's HOME design competition. "With the HOME House Project, we challenged artists and architects to propose new designs for single family housing for low- and moderate-income families using Habitat for Humanity’s basic three-and-four bedroom house as a “point of departure”. In addition, the design criteria included eco-friendly and sustainable materials, technologies, and methods."
