Got an email about the Rolex Awards for Enterprise, and this year's winners look like a pretty interesting group: Lonnie Dupre, who's undertaking the first summer crossing of the Arctic Ocean, by skis and kyacks, to highlight how climate change has lead to open seas where once was a vast sheet of ice; Claudia Feh, who's working with Mongolian nomads and scientists to reintroduce the Przewalski horse to the steppes; and Kikuo Morimoto, who's helping Cambodian villagers rediscover traditional sustainable methods of silk production. Good work, it seems.
