Design Like You Give A Damn - Miami Style

For any of you in Miami on Oct 14th I am speaking at the Wolfsonian on the work of my organization, Architecture for Humanity, which promotes socially-conscious architecture and design solutions to humanitarian crisis. Prior to the talk, students from Florida International University will present their design for the 2005 Solar Decathlon. RSVP is required: 305.535.2645 or rsvp@thewolf.fiu.edu. The lecture is free for museum members and students and $10 for all others.

In addition to showing past initiatives, I will discuss our current international design competition, Siyathemba, our entry into the Voting Booth Project and the possible upcoming rebuilding effort we may undertake in the hurricane ravaged island of Grenada.

Those residing in the Northeast can see a reprise of the talk at the Thought at Work conference in Rochester, NY on October 16th and at the National Building Museum in DC on December 1st. These are the last lectures of the Design Like You Give A Damn lecture tour
