The opposite of "World Changing" is "eco-goth" - a subculture where one's social standing is largely set by the quality of one's gloom.
And, yes, this is a joke. But I do think it's worth pondering. It's not the whole story about ecological gloomeisters, but it hits a nerve, rather closely...
If they're goth, I want to be punk!

We should so register EcoGoth and run it as WorldChanging's parody sister site for all the partisan, depressing, what did you call it.... terribilisimo! stuff...
