Dutch to Open Government Intellectual Property


Leaders from the Dutch parliament have agreed to make most images and programs created by Dutch public braodcasters freely available on the Net:

"Programmes made with public funds belong in the public domain."

I think we should all find this, the BBC's similar moves and the growing movement in universities to distribute their offerings online (such as MIT's OpenCourseWare) incredibly encouraging.
