Born Into Brothels scoops 2 more documentary awards

Recently we blogged about the great work of Kids With Cameras and in particular the documentary, Born Into Brothels, about number of their young photographers in Calcutta. This week both the IDA (International Documentary Association) and the National Board of Reviews have named it as the best documentary of the year.

After scooping over 20 film awards, including Sundance, it looks to be a lock for an oscar nomination. Born Into Brothels gets its theatrical release on December 8th.

With proceeds of the documentary and other donations, Kids With Cameras will be building a school in Calcutta in the next year.
