Advance tickets are sold out, so you may find me waiting on line this Saturday to get into globalFEST 2005, year two of this outstanding world music fest. Thirteen artists, five continents, one night, at three venues within New York's Public Theatre.

If I make it inside, I'll aim for the fusion acts, like DJ Rekha (bhangra-Bollywood-Asian Underground), Juana Molina (Argentinian folk-electronica singer), or maybe the Warsaw Village Band (Polish punk folk)...but the whole lineup is a stellar combination of traditional and contemporary performers from around the planet.
