Vancouver as a place to live: A Graveyard of Ambition or Our Ambition to Make A Worldchanging Centre?

Inspired by an article by Paul Delany in the new Vancouver Review magazine, which Pacific Northwesters should check out, I wrote this piece on my home blog, Fuzzysignals. It's a meditation not just about Vancouver, but also about the dilemmas of place and identity that global knowledge work presents for the creative class. The conclusions, if there are any, would echo Alex's What Seattle is Missing piece. Perhaps, as Delaney suggests, we'll get smart and finally pool the comparative advantages of the great cities of Cascadia -- San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver. Now how cool would that be?!
