London Array, a proposed offshore windfarm (mentioned in this post last week), would power over 750,000 homes, if built: about a quarter of the homes in greater London. At 1,000 megawatts, London Array would prevent the release of "1.9m tonnes of carbon dioxide every year and could make up to 10% of the UK Government’s 2010 renewables targets."
