Power House -- More Serious Play
Alex Steffen, 26 Jun 05

We've written before about green dollhouses in general and about Thames and Kosmos' experimental kits for exploring solar homes in particular. But now T+K has a new version out, the Power House, which bills itself as an adventure in sustainable living:

The Power House Experiment Manual is much more than just a set of instructions. The manual is organized around the story of a group of island dwellers who must learn to live sustainably using the resources available to them on their small island. As you read their journal entries and learn of their projects and experiments, you build models of the same projects and conduct the same experiments alongside them.

Actually, we've covered the Power House twice before:

But it does look very cool. I want to play with one. (I've played with the little fuel-cell-solar cars, and it's finicky but very cute.)
