$5,000 TO THE BEST PRO-ETHICS IDEA

Ashoka is running another wonderful social innovation competition (Worldchanging covered a recent round of award-winners here). The topic: "How to build a more empathetic and ethical society." They are looking for the best innovative ideas for doing just that, in ways that bring young and older together and build their empatho-ethical skills. The best idea gets $5,000. Ashoka also announced the winner in their most recent contest, focused on the best idea for ending the trafficking of humans, i.e., modern slavery. Read about the winners, the Anti-Slavery Project, for inspiration, especially on a day-after-terrorism day like today. Then go invent something to make the world more empathetic and ethical. Like, why not?

Call me simple minded ,however with the recent spotlight on Mr, Tom Cruise : actor ,scientoligist.I have to give him alot of credit to put his personal convictions regarding mental health. Specificaly his awareness of the correlation between health .eating properly ,getting benifical vitiamins and nutrition which is difficult if not impossible from the sugar and salt menu the average american now consumes almost daily without thought of the true consuquences, So lets build thousands of public health centers along the lines of the Cooper Clinic and we can cost it to Social Security funding with a reduction in benifits long term assuming that their will be a healthy and more aware reciepient. Also these health centers would be available to all regardless of current income and or job. They would also sell fresh fruits ,vegetables, vitamins, none religious or political, kind of hey we need to realize the proven positive aspect of exercise ,diet ,the respect and understanding that being spectators for organized sports and not tending to our on health is putting such a costly burden on our society that it may very well socialy destroy the little fabric that is holding above financial collaspe ,individually and as a nation ,and at large as a human race. See Japan how important daily exercise and health is .

In my mind this mythodology reflects our what should be compassion to and social contact with each other walking, swimming, running, eating well . sharing our space ,with each other and nature . Add this tho publis works programs for anyone who needs employment to clean up our shores , rivers, lakes , and streams .wells ,pond and streems, lots .parks. highways, roads urban refuse dumps, landfills ,dumps around the world...stop this self inflicted negitive harm to ourselves and earth.and its critters
