Since imagination is the first step towards change, we're extremely interested here in how artists are imaginging the future. We're also extremely interested in the UK as an epicenter of worldchanging innovation. So this little item is a natural to note: this year, for the first time, all five of the nominees for the Hugo award for best (science fiction) novel are Brits, heralding, as ally Charlie Stross puts it, a "major renaissance of British SF."
