You know an idea's mainstreamed when Sunset magazine picks it up. We covered this autumn's Sunset Breeze House in October, but somehow we missed their even more remarkable Green-Built Idea House. Essentially a green model home, the house -- while decently designed -- is most remarkable to me as an illustration of how accepted the idea of green building has become. This bodes well, not just for more widespread use of non-toxic materials and efficient systems, but for the gradual adoption of the whole array of bright green technologies and designs we cover here.
