We're big fans of efforts to use the power of advertising to make people more aware of pressing social problems, from HIV/AIDS in Russia, to landmines, to the impact of war on children. Indeed, we hope that those who are working to make the world a better place get more and more sophisticated in their use of powerful images and compelling messages.
This public service announcement from Médecins Sans Frontières on the impact of HIV/AIDS in Africa is the latest good example of the trend. Simple, strong, addressing a vitally important issue -- we need more of this work in the world.
(Thanks, Andrew.)
Dude, it's like an evil katamari. Those of us having played that happy-go-lucky game probably have even deeper resonances with this ad... like that "War is Smurf" post from some months back. ugh.
