Subtle Technologies calls for entries

Subtle Technologies, the annual Toronto gathering that Dawn described last year as "a great interdisciplinary conference that overcomes the tyranny of specialization and gets the art and science communities talking" is looking for entries for the 2006 event, slated for June 1-4. This year's theme is Responsive Architectures. Folks are invited to submit investigations into

* Interactive systems
* Adaptive environments
* Hybrid ecologies
* Smart materials
* Buildings that can move and transform
* Extended physiology
* Complex systems analysis
* Expanded perception
* Resonance and spatial acoustics
* Physics of sound

But don't sit on your heels -- the deadline for submissions is January 31.
