One Small Project

There's a great interview by Bryan Finoki at Archinect with Wes Janz, an architecture professor at Ball State University and the main brain behind One Small Project, a website and forthcoming book on the architects of leftover spaces - the numerous individuals who've created innovative, habitable spaces, and thriving, complex communities in the places that globalization and urbanization overlook - squatter cities, shanty towns and slums.

The interview mentions such Worldchanging allies and ideas as Rob Neuwirth, Architecture for Humanity, the Portable Light, and the $100 laptop. It's a lengthy interview and well worthy a read.
