Blair: We Need a Green Revolution

Tony Blair has called for a "Green Revolution" of a magnitude similar to the tech innovation surrounding the Internet to slow global warming. The speech followed an announcement that the UK is unlikely to hit its target of a 20% reduction in greenhouse emissions by 2010. Blair also called for a new post-Kyoto climate change accord:

In his speech in Auckland, the prime minister said the framework to replace Kyoto - which expires at the end of 2012 - must include China, India and the US. Solutions needed to be applicable to the developing world, he added.
