Thank you to everyone who came out last night to hear our panel of New York-based contributors to WorldChanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century hold forth from diverse perspectives on creating a better future. Panelists David Bornstein, Patrick Di Justo, Jill Fehrenbacher, Emeka Okafor, and myself, ably moderated by Wendy Brawer, drew an audience of around 100 to hear about everything from science collaborations between nations in the global South, to green building design, to making change through social entrepreneurship -- and to converse over wine and snacks afterwards in the lovely environs of The Urban Center. It was truly an inspiring evening.
Our thanks to the evening's co-sponsors, including The Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance and the Muncipal Art Society's Urban Center Books, to the promotions team at Harry N. Abrams Inc., and to Wired magazine for providing this month's issue to everyone who attended. All photos courtesy of Dan at ibrido.tv.
My own special thanks Carter Craft of the MWA and Jo Steffens of Urban Center Books for their support in putting this event together, and to Wendy, Emeka, Dave, Jill, and Patrick for their time and participation.
