Via Cyberjournalist: 70 finalists have broken from a pack of over 700 entries in competition for the 8th annual Online Journalism Awards, which are awarded by the Online News Association and the USC Annenberg School for Communication. Awards will be announced October 18.
Among the entries for best use of the digital medium is the great Altered Oceans series exploring the environmental crises in the world's oceans, published by The Los Angeles Times.
