Intern at Worldchanging!

Hey you! Passionate about sustainability and social innovation? Want to work on the frontiers of journalism? Worldchanging is looking for a bright, creative and exceptionally motivated intern to help us get ready for our next big editorial project.

The work itself will be a mix of editorial research and project organization. You'll need to apply good writing, communication and research skills. You should be fun to work with, and good at creative problem-solving. Basic computer skills are also a must, including having at least some basic clue about spreadsheets, wikis and document preparation. Most importantly, you'll need a passion for thinking about solutions to the planet's most pressing problems: if you have that, this gig will be exciting, challenging and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on the cutting edge of sustainability.

We need someone who is able to work at least half time on-site in our cool, funky, Seattle loft office. We expect a six-month commitment, November 1st until May 1st, and professionalism in meeting that commitment. This position, though no doubt rewarding on other levels, is unpaid.

Are you the right person for the job? Write a one-page letter telling us who you are, what you can do and why we should pick you for the gig. Send it to our Office Manager Erika Hess [erika >at< worldchanging] by 5:00 pm, Pacific Time, October 19th.

We're equal opportunity around here, and welcome applications from women and cultural, ethnic and sexual minorities.
