Systems, Cities & Sustainable Mobility and Envisioning Green L.A.

I'll be delivering the opening keynote for the Systems, Cities & Sustainable Mobility summit in L.A. this Wednesday. If you're in town, I think it's going to be a terrific event. Here's the challenge they're trying to address:

Sustainability: Designing for the Masses. Within the next 20 years, five billion people—representing 60 percent of the world’s population—will reside in cities. Envisioning a green LA is an interesting challenge because it is the least centralized of all of the major West Coast cities. The perpetual sprawl makes it difficult to centralize services and reduce transportation costs. A good read.
