I'm sorry, but I don't think the Gapminder software (Trendalyzer) is open-source. Google bought the software from Gapminder, and has incorporated some of it into its product offerings (including the Visualization API), but so far as I know, has never open-sourced the software. I'd love to be proven wrong, though, it's neat software.
