We've talked a lot about the Millennium Development Goals. Today, on the 10th anniversary of their launch, the Gates Foundation and TED have teamed up to run a one day special conference. Good talks about important solutions (including another great lecture by our favorite demographer, Hans Rosling):

Ted Talks are always inspiring. No matter your political affiliation or general biases, you can ALWAYS learn something.
It seems women will save us, will save civilisation, will bring us future. Or at least feminine values: caring for life, seeing the weak, empowering the poor. Because it is part of life, it is part of being wise, it is part of being at all.
