Originally hailing from western New York, editorial intern Sean Conroe made Seattle his home in 2004. Soon after, began volunteering with Youth In Focus, a local non-profit aimed at empowering disadvantaged youth through photography he discovered his passion for youth empowerment. “Empowering the younger generation to make positive changes in their life is only the beginning,” Sean says. “From here, anything is possible.”
This strong desire that Sean holds to create change lead him to Worldchanging's doorsteps in February of 2009. Since then, he has contributed numerous articles, photographs and design content for our website.
He is currently studying geography and environmental studies at Seattle Central Community College, and is planning on obtaining his Bachelors degree at University of Washington. When he isn’t studying or in the office running around barefoot and cracking jokes, Sean spends countless hours exploring the city with his Jack Russell, Ivy (his "daughter"). He also enjoys biking, kayaking, paragliding, and venturing out into the wild with his camera in tow.
