Worldchanging Correspondents
If you have your finger on the pulse of emerging bright green solutions and social innovation, we'd love to have you on our team. We're specifically looking for a few talented writers from all over the world who can produce short, pointed, thoughtful posts for our Daily Blog. Correspondents will send in "microblog" style articles, 75-300 words apiece (subject to our editing), discussing specific subjects like recent books, articles, studies and other resources; emerging innovations and initiatives; Worldchanging people; new memes to watch; etc., in a voice that's curious, smart and solutions-focused. Posts should introduce/explain the subject and comment on it in a way that surprises readers or makes them think. We expect you to commit to at least two posts per week for a minimum of three months. This is a volunteer position. Those who generously share their talents with us will receive a bio on the Worldchanging website, the chance to engage with our smart global audience, hands-on experience in solutions-based journalism and, of course, the gratitude of the Worldchanging team. Plus, having your work published on one of the world's largest sustainability blogs is a pretty good way to get your thoughts out into the world! To apply, please send an email titled "Worldchanging Correspondents" to managing editor Sarah Kuck at Sarah [at] Worldchanging [dot] com. In the email, introduce yourself and tell us what inspires you to write for us! Then pitch 5 ideas for things you might like to blog about. Attach 3 samples of your own magazine-style writing, at least 2 of which are shorter than 400 words (unpublished samples are ok).
