Cassini Saturn

Cassini new rings of SaturnOne of the biggest impediments to worldchanging, it seems to me, is to get people to think beyond their current local and conventional views. Sometimes maybe getting them to look at a different view can help.

We're looking at Saturn eclipsing the sun. The dark side is lit by light reflected from Saturn's own rings. And there are more rings than there used to be. Follow the link to the big image for the full effect. This is something human eyes never saw before this year.

Cassini Earth from Saturn And in the bigger image look towards the upper left of the rings. See the tiny bluish dot? That's earth. The homeworld in comparison with a really big planetary system. All petty local concerns invisible in the distance.
