The First Annual Festival Of Plagiarism is this weekend at the Enchanted Forest. Inspiring is the enthusiasm of the organizer, Tym Simpson, for all things copied and stolen.
His purpose is to eliminate the pressure of originality, encourage creativity, and facilitate the sharing of ideas. Though the organizer does not comment on intellectual property directly, the festival seems engineered to be a joyous, fun response to the often imposing, lawyer-driven enforcement of intellectual property laws.
As Simpson puts it, "Plagiarism is complete freedom!"
