EEStor develops advanced energy storage devices

Austin area startup EEStor Inc. is working on ultracapacitor storage devices for vehicles, and has signed a deal with Canadian electric car maker Feel Good Cars. According to a patent granted in April, the unit gets 300 miles per charge - and, in the biggest advance over conventional battery technology, can be recharged in about the time it takes to fill up at the gas pump.

Company founders Richard Weir and Carl Nelson previously collaborated in work on hard drive technology.
