Dead Birds

This morning dead birds shut down Congress Ave., Austin's main street. Could they be the grackles in the coal mine, protesting against those TXU coal plants? Or more likely somebody poisoned them.

Interesting. Amusing, especially if you read the thread on Austinist. However, seriously -- how is this piece of information worldchanging?

I think John's sly reference to the coal plants is inclined to set off some worldchanging thinking... meanwhile we still don't know what killed the birds. I think one theory was that they flew too close to the State Capitol and were fried by a massive blast of hot air, a signal that the legislature is in session.
