Algonquin College in Ottawa is becoming the first "green college" in Canada, according to Metro Ottawa. Algonquin is investing $6 million in energy upgrades which should be complete by Fall 2007, and which will save them an expected $600,000 a year over the next 10 years, at which point it will have paid for itself.
