Excellent. A Chicago sustainability-group presence on the web. I'm not really in Chicago, but close enough (DeKalb) and I'm glad to see this new development.
I missed your Chicago visit---I just barely discovered the WORLDCHANGING book at Borders, November 18th. Please drop in again!
While I was at Borders, I began flipping through various books on ecology---because of an assignment given to me at work.
I had just finished a new peppermint coffee drink from Seattle's Best Coffee (really good) and decided I would like another cup--of just regular coffee.
I took my cup back to the counter to purchase a refill. I insisted to the barista to use the same cup---and then mentioned, "I am reading a book on ecology...[and this is why I would like to use the same cup]..."
The response was..."Oh Ecology...you definitely need another cup of coffee to get through that..."
I smiled and thanked them for the good coffee and 50 cent refill.
What a giant misconception ecology is as a ho-hum topic...I am glad I have made it over the "ecological hump" if you will, and feel quite fortunate to have found you.
Thank you, WorldChanging.com
yours truly,
MIGUEL
