Know someone who's making a difference around Chicago? Flip their name over to the Chicago Magazine. The award-winning monthly is accepting nominations for its annual Green Awards, to be published in April 2007. It's not so much a contest as it is an honor roll; the goal will be to focus on on six to eight worldchanging finalists active in the realm of sustainability and environmentalism in Chicago.
According to the magazine's web site, the winners will be invited to participate in a roundtable discussion on regional environmental issues, which will then be broadcast on the web site. A handy little menu on the magazine's page also directs readers to a spate of other interesting tidbits, including past articles on green topics and the nomination form itself. Thanks to Gapers Block for the heads-up.
