Last summer at the Boulder Farmers' Market I greatly enjoyed visiting with the owners of Medovina Winery, maker of Colorado Honeywine.
Medovina produces its own honey, and schedules its mead-making process around the availability of this fresh honey in August and September. Medovina uses water from the Indian Peaks Wilderness, which has been treated then filtered to remove chlorine.
This year more than ever, we need to support bees and companies like Medovina for which the value of bees is not an abstraction, it's a integral part of their business.
