All are invited to the Green Drinks Denver 2-year anniversary this Thursday, June 28, at 6 pm at Double Daughter's Salotto, 1632 Market Street in Denver. Learn more about the AIA Denver Urban Design Committee, AIA Denver COTE, ReDirect and the USGBC Colorado Chapter, meet new people and relax over a drink!
One of this month's features is the UDC (AIA Denver Chapter's Urban Design Committee). The UDC has recently finished producing a 60-minute film documentary titled "Transit-Oriented Development: Reshaping the Great American City" and will be raffling off 10 copies of the film to people attending this month's Green Drinks. The film offers lessons from which many cities can benefit, and includes commentary from internationally recognized development experts, using examples from a variety of US cities.
Also featured this month is COTE, which works to advance, disseminate, and advocate -- to the profession, the building industry, the academy, and the public -- design practices that integrate built and natural systems and enhance both the design quality and environmental performance of the built environment.
In addition, Sarah Wells of the ReDirect Guide will be on hand to share with us her resource guide for living green and spending with intention. Tom Hootman of the USGBC Colorado Chapter will also be here to answer your questions about the organization.
