"Live Earth" Local Parties: July 7

So many parties, so little time. At last count there will be 29 "Live Earth" viewing events happening in the Colorado Front Range area this Saturday, July 7. These events coincide with the "Live Earth: Concerts for a Climate in Crisis" broadcast to raise awareness and promote action regarding the climate crisis.

In addition to the many house parties in Denver, Boulder, Frisco, Longmont, Fort Collins and Vail, the event list also includes a free parties at local businesses. In Denver, StarzFilm Center is hosting a "Greening Screening" with free popcorn (for those who bring a reusable bowl) and concert-quality sound (reservations required). In Boulder, the ECOncert will feature 5 local bands and over 20 local environmental organizations, while the Full Spectrum Gallery in Longmont will host a community potluck.

See the area's list of events on the Live Earth website.

For those who can't make it to a party, you can view the concert on a variety of cable and internet channels. You can also show your support by participating in the Live Earth Call to Action: 100 Simple Actions You Can Take in Your Daily Life. Sign the online pledge today.
