Born and raised in Oregon, Kit studied music at North Texas State University before finishing with a degree in Geography from Portland State University. She has developed and implemented commercial and residential recycling plans and programs for urban and rural areas in Oregon. That was followed by a couple of years managing the supply of recycled cardboard feedstock into two paper mills for Weyerhauser.
In the mid 90s she became the webmaster for an international consulting firm, then web producer for the software company, WebTrends. In 2001 Kit founded her firm, Seeborg Strategies, Inc., a web planning and implementation company specializing in the use of multimedia and emerging online technologies.
Kit is a board member and organizer of the WebVisions Conference. She was a panelist at the 2005 South By Southwest Interactive and in 2000 chaired the Software Association of Oregon's Ecommerce Conference. She likes to geek with other members of the Information Architecture Institute and has served as a judge in multi-media competitions for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Kit divides most of her time between Colorado and Oregon. A backcountry hiker, she enjoys traveling to remote areas to explore and experience the world. You can watch her life go by in pictures on Flickr.
