Not only will many eco-minded celebs opt to arrive at the 64th Annual Golden Globes Awards by hybrid and ECOLIMO, but now famous greenies can compare Prius mpgs and debate this year’s absence of $50,000 swag bags at a planet-friendly bash after the show.
The Environmental Media Association (EMA) and E! Television have joined forces to host the first ever Golden Green Party (sponsored by Lexus) following the January 15th awards ceremony. The eco-conscious shindig, featuring gourmet organic food and recycled decorations, will take place at 9900 Wilshire in Beverly Hills—a former department store-turned-LEED-certified eco-luxury residential complex.
"Green living has become a way of life for many of today's celebrities," said Debbie Levin, President of the EMA, in a recent press release, "and we are proud to be the first ones to step up and create a party that unites talent and social responsibility. We are not only celebrating the best that Hollywood has to offer, but also their commitment to making a positive difference to our environment."
To further the evening’s green agenda, TreePeople will plant a tree for every Leonardo, Cameron and Brad that attends.
