Join Step It Up and thousands of people across the country this Saturday, April 14th to tell Congress to cut America’s carbon emissions 80% by 2050 (that is less than 2% reduction per year!). This nationwide campaign is the largest day of action against global warming in the history of America.
Los Angeles-based OrganicFoodee is hosting one of the 49 local events dedicated to this cause. Join this group for a hike through Bronson Canyon to the Hollywood sign from 1 - 3 pm (directions below), or check here for an event in your area.
To join the Hollywood hike, drive north up Bronson Avenue until it becomes Canyon Drive. Continue up Canyon Drive until it becomes Brush Canyon Trail. At the end, the road enters the gates to the park which is at the bottom of Bronson Canyon. Either park up here, or keep driving on Brush Canyon Trail until you reach the car parks on the right or later on the left. Now it’s time to take a hike up the dirt trail until we’re all under the Hollywood Sign.
Ysanne Spevack, Editor of OrganicFoodee says: “Let’s have fun while raising awareness about climate change… And what could be more fun than a hike to the Hollywood Sign? We’re hoping OrganicFoodee readers will bring delicious organic goodies to share.”
