Join Writer Ben Jervey on the Upper Green Side

Article Photo

This Wednesday's meeting of the Upper Green Side will feature WorldChanging pal Ben Jervey, author of The Big Green Apple: Your Guide to Eco-Friendly Living in NYC. Ben's book takes on living green in the megacity with good cheer (especially important during December's short daylight hours) and good advice -- on everything from using compact fluorescents to save energy to organizing your neighborhood to save the community garden. Ben will hold forth on his book, urban environmentalism and other topics.

Date: Wednesday, Nov. 29
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Location: All Souls Unitarian Church, 80th St. and Lexington Avenue
This meeting is free and open to the general public.

(thanks, Glenn!)

(Full disclosure: I gave The Big Green Apple a positive review on Grist earlier this year)
