Fixed rate wind power from PGE

If you are a Portland General Electric customer, you can now sign up for a fixed-rate renewable energy plan. The "Renewable Future" plan supplies your home or small business with 100% wind power from the Klondike II wind farm in Sherman County, Oregon.

This program joins PGE's Green Gource, Clean Wind energy source options, and is available to residences and small businesses. More than 800 businesses local businesses have already enrolled in these wind-power programs.

At 9.8 cents per kilowatt-hour, the rate will not change until the year 2012. PGE estimates that this will cost the average home about $14.38 more per month. There are a limited number of enrollments available, so if you are interested, you can sign up online or give them a call (503) 228-6322.
