Energy Conservation in Twin Cities Schools

The Star Tribune ran an article today saying that Minnesota Schools have saved $5.7 million dollars (!) on energy over the last four years through an EPA program called Schools for Energy Efficiency. According to the EPA, the least energy efficient schools use three times the energy of the most efficient schools. The money that is saved on energy can be spent on other needs - books, supplies, etc. What a great program for kids to learn about energy conservation - learn by doing!
